Amy has a B.Sc. from Memorial University of Newfoundland (1992) and a LL.B from the University of New Brunswick (1995). She was called to the bar and joined the firm as an associate in 1996 and was admitted to partnership in 2004.
Amy's practice encompasses natural resource and energy law, family law, construction law and media law. She represents a diverse group of clients including governmental departments, municipal governments, chartered banks, oil and gas industry regulators, and individuals in her diverse litigation practice.
Amy is the Atlantic Canadian representative with the Canadian Media Lawyers Association and a member of the Canadian Energy Law Foundation. She served two four year terms as a Bencher of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, is a past Chair of Newfoundland and Labrador Crime Stoppers and an Honourary Life Member of the Royal St. John's Regatta Committee.
