Paul R.Stokes, Q.C. Mr. Stokes joined our firm in 1974 and is a Senior Partner. He practices civil litigation, with a concentration on medical malpractice defence, administrative law, as well as commercial law with a particular emphasis on real estate and financing. Mr. Stokes has provided regional and national services to clients and advises many in respect to corporate matters including acquisitions, financing, debt collection, and security enforcement. He received a B.A.(Psychology) from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a LL.B from Dalhousie Law School. He was called to the bar in 1974, and appointed Queen's Counsel in 2001. Mr. Stokes is a member of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador and a member of the Canadian Bar Association. He is also a former co-chair of Continuing Legal Education on Behalf of the Canadian Bar Association (Newfoundland and Labrador Branch). In his community activities, he is a founding member and Past President Salmon Association of Eastern Newfoundland; Past Chairman, The Agnes Pratt Home (Long Term Care Facility for the Aged); and Past Chairman, Rising Tide Association and Rising Tide Theater Limited (Supporting theatre arts in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador). He is also a Past Chairman of the Memorial University Basketball Booster Club.
