| Liam P.O'Brien |
Mr. O'Brien joined the firm as an associate in 1997 and was admitted to partnership in 2005.
He practices in the field of civil litigation with a concentration on medical malpractice defence and insurance and employment matters. He has appeared in all levels of court in the Province in this capacity. Mr. O'Brien also has experience with a variety of tribunals.
He received a B.A. from St. Francis Xavier University and a LL.B from the University of New Brunswick. In April 1997 he was called to the bar.
Mr. O'Brien has served as the Chair for the Health Law Section of the Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter of the Canadian Bar Association and has acted in an advisory capacity for several local charitable groups. Mr. O'Brien was elected a Bencher of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador for a four year term commencing in June, 2009.
